We sell 209 Primer Modules & LRMP Primer modules (Large Rifle Magnum Primers) for the original (very rare) Savage 10 ML.
(Most of the Savage muzzleloaders our there are 10ML-2’s… these are not for the 10ML-2)
To help folks de-prime discharged modules we created this base. Besides the base, you will also need the appropriate punch. The punch that will knock out 209’s will not work on Large Rifle primer modules. We offer all three items for sale here (punches may vary from those shown in the photos).
To de-prime a module with this system:
- The module with spent/discharged primer is placed (facing upward) in the de-priming base
- The appropriate punch is used to drive out the discharged primer
- The large end of the punch is used to push the now de-primed module out of the de-priming base
WARNING: NEVER ATTEMP TO DRIVE OUT A LIVE PRIMER! DETONATION OF THE PRIMER IS LIKELY! USE CAUTION: PRIMERS CAN INJURE/MAIM/BLIND!

The use of the depriming base with the large rifle primer punch is essential to getting the spent primers out of the large rifle primer carriers! It makes it just plain easy!
