Description

New to pistols and shooting?   Want to get some quality instruction without a bunch of guys around?  This class is made for you.   Women Only!  

Created by Beth Alcazar, USCCA Associate Editor and Senior Training Counselor, “Women’s Handgun and Self-Defense Fundamentals” is all about sharing the basics — along with the fun, seriousness and importance of being a responsibly armed female.

This is a reservation for (1) woman.    Class will typically be no larger than 6 women.  This class runs from 4PM – 8PM on weekdays, or 9am to 1pm on weekends.  We can accommodate special requests (like incorporating more than just handguns) just ask (call 989-795-2526 or use our Contact Form) or to ensure a specific date for your reservation.

If you need something special, have allergies, etc, please let us know in the “note to seller” person when you check out.

The subject matter of this course is primarily from (USCCA) Beth Alcazar’s – Women’s Self-Defense Fundamentals.   We highly recommend all participants purchase the companion book.

Class is held in our home* in Fostoria MI (The address will be emailed to you when you complete a check out online or register over the phone).   Our range is on our property within sight of our home.  Class is taught by a USCCA Certified instructor.   If you are new to pistols and shooting, we recommend completing this class prior to taking our Michigan CPL (Concealed Pistol License) course.

Included in this $85 Class: 

  • Classroom Instruction (Indoor: 2-3 hours,  some slides & videos, but a lot of hands on with dummy guns and laser shooting training aids)
  • Lunch/Dinner (Expect venison chili – Please advise if you have any food allergies)
  • Drinks (Water/Pop/Soda/Coffee)
  • Range Time (Outdoor: 1-2 hours)

Not Included (Required):

  • Your own pistol (we can rent one if needed, let us know)
  • Eye & ear protection
  • Minimum of 50 Rounds of Ammunition (we typically have 9mm, 40 S&W, 45ACP, available for purchase as well)

It is not required, but recommended that students bring a notebook, pen. The range is outdoors, so please dress accordingly for the weather.

*If you carry a pistol on your person into our home, we only ask that you keep it holstered.    All cased firearms shall be unloaded, and are better left in your vehicle.   Handling of live firearms or ammunition is prohibited in our home.   Expect to shoot first in the winter months while it is still light out, and wear appropriate boots & clothing.

Please note: All course instruction and testing are conducted in English.   Non-English speakers are welcome, but are responsible for providing their own translator if needed to understand and follow safety rules.  The instructor and facility do not provide translation services, but Spanish is commonly spoken in our home.
