Description
HPH12 Sabots – These are for high pressure (aka loads exceeding 100gr Blackpowder Equivalent)
Recommended Deer Bullet: 240 – 300 Grains
Smokeless shooters: these may help you with the higher pressures smokeless rifles generate.
I always recommend you try the standard MMP sabots first. Compared to the standard MMP sabot these HPH12’s are stiffer and have a base that is terraced. These two features work together to hold the sabot together when subjected to higher pressures. But also make it stick to the bullet longer after leaving the muzzle. You can examine shot sabots by walking down range and picking them up. If they look like they are cracking and blowing apart (and you are shooting standard MMP sabots) and you’re having accuracy issues at high charges: you may want to try these HPH12 sabots.
However I prefer the standard MMP sabots in my Remington 700MLS and Ruger 77/50 rifles. They just shoot better, and my rifles shoot best somewhere between 80-100 gr by volume.
