Description
Short Action Firing Pin Spring for Remington 700 similar to F17058
IN STOCK!
These SA springs are made specially for us, in the USA, & from US materials. These springs are subjected to a rigorous production and QA regime in the US: They are wound, ends closed and ground, set, treated, and oil dipped by US craftsmen who do QA steps at each point of the production process.
They are designed to be put into the Remington 700 Short Action (SA) and our second generation 700 ML/MLS conversion systems (GEN2) firing pin assemblies. Buy with confidence. Used in Remington 700 SA: ADL & BDL, along with the Ultimate Muzzle-Loader (UML). To be 100% you can measure your spring length with a coin in the coin slot… it should measure about 2.5″ long.
Short action rifles are typically chambered for cartridges like .223 Remington, .243 Winchester, .260 Remington, 6.5 Creedmoor, 7mm-08, .308 Winchester, etc. So this `should` work in Remington 700’s in those calibers. (see picture below)
If the rifle is chambered for .270 Winchester, .280 Remington, 7mm Rem Mag, 30-06 Springfield, 300 Win Mag etc, its a Long Action (LA), and this spring won’t fit.
This spring will not work on the Model 7 or 700 ML/MLS with the original firing pin/spring set up (Use our equivalent to a F15411 in those) But will work on our second generation 209 conversions and custom Remington 700ML 209 bolts (GEN2). Again: All our second generation scratch built complete 209 converted 700 MLS bolts use this Short Action (SA) spring.
The picture below will help you be confident in your purchase!
