Description
The state of Michigan requires Michigan CPL renewal applicants to sign an affidavit certifying that they have completed at least three hours of review of the required training and have had at least one hour of firing range time in the six months PRIOR the submission of a renewal application.

This is a reservation for (1) person (who already holds a Michigan CPL license) and wishes to complete their mandated training/firing range time in a formal setting. This class runs from 5PM – 9PM, We try to schedule these sessions on the first Tuesday of every month. We can accommodate special requests just ask (call 989-795-2526 or use our Contact Form)!
This training will meet and exceed the CPL renewal requirements specified by Michigan State Law (3hrs reviewing the law and course materials plus 1 hour range time: pursuant to MCL 28.425b(7)(c).
Class is held in our home* in Fostoria MI (The address will be emailed to you when you complete a check out online or register over the phone). Our range is on our property within sight of our home. Class is taught by a USCCA Certified instructor. If you didn’t use the USCCA for your initial CPL training requirement, that is not an issue, everyone can use this class to meet the Michigan CPL renewal requirements.
Included in this $75 Class:
- Classroom Instruction (Indoor: 3 hours)
- Lunch/Dinner (Expect venison chili – Please advise if you have any food allergies)
- Drinks (Water/Pop/Soda/Coffee)
- Range Time (Outdoor: 1 hour)
Not Included (Required):
- Your own pistol (we can rent one if needed, let us know)
- Eye & ear protection
- Minimum of 50 Rounds of Ammunition (we typically have 9mm, 40 S&W, 45ACP, available for purchase as well)
It is not required, but recommended that students bring a notebook, pen. The range is outdoors, so please dress accordingly for the weather.
*If you carry a pistol on your person into our home, we only ask that you keep it holstered. All cased firearms shall be unloaded, and are better left in your vehicle. Handling of live firearms or ammunition is prohibited in our home. Expect to shoot first in the winter months while it is still light out, and wear appropriate boots & clothing.
Please note: All course instruction and testing are conducted in English. Non-English speakers are welcome, but are responsible for providing their own translator if needed to understand and follow safety rules. The instructor and facility do not provide translation services, but Spanish is commonly spoken in our home.
