The breech plug will only work with our 209 Conversion system.  We offer them for sale as replacements for folks who lose or damage the original one that came with their complete kit.

If you don’t have our kit installed on your rifle you will need to purchase a complete kit (these parts will not work unless your bolt already has our system installed, and you are using a factory barrel)!

AGAIN YOU WERE WARNED:  IF YOU DON’T HAVE OUR KIT YOU NEED TO BUY THE COMPLET KIT (not these parts).  THERE IS NO CHEAP HALF FIX that involves  just using these parts!

The Bolt Nose & Firing pin, won’t work with the original breech plug.   Again, you need to buy a complete system.

If you are swapping barrels, the Savage 10ML2 breech plug is stronger and recommended:   Do not a Remington 700ML/MLS pattern breech plug when swapping barrels!   If you are going to use a new barrel with a Savage 10ML2 breech plug, buy just the nose and firing pin listed here.   Also, you might want to let us know you want a long nose in your note to seller portion of your check out:  a long nose will move the savage style breech plug farther forward in the new barrel.   This moves the transition to the rifling forward of the receiver ring (and thus is stronger).
