D Cell spacer Pipe
CAUTION: These D Cell spacer pipes come with sharp burrs!
Useful for making spaces to trap solvent and patches in D cell sized solvent trap tubes.Â
The ~1.313″ and ~1.318″ diameter items are a few hundredths smaller than a 381-3179 Freeze Plug, and typically slide right into a D cell solvent trap.  The ~1.350″ Ti pipe are essentially the same size as a D cell plug, but some tubes are too tight for them.  You are urged to measure your pipes and understand your own fit requirements!
Cut on a band saw (USE CAUTION!!! These have rough edges, burrs, etc).   A bandsaw is not a precision cutting device: expect to need to square, debur, or otherwise improve these depending on your application!
​We strive to cut them as close to stated length as we can, typically they are about a 16th longer,  but some times just a little shorter.  A few (the last of the pipe to get cut) can be around an inch longer.
AGAIN EXPECT THE CUT ENDS TO HAVE BURRS!!! USE CAUTION!!!!

Type 304 stainless to hold up to the worst solvents you can subject them too.  Schedule 10S thickness for strength! Seamed pipe.

Light weight but strong Titanium (3Al-2.5V) is about half the weight as stainless and still really tough! Â Â

Our lightest weight D cell spacer tubes. These feather weight pipes (after they are deburred) are a perfect slip fit down my SD Tactical Ti D cell barrel shrouds.  Typically too fat to fit down any aluminum flash light tube. Also thin wall tube can get a little ‘ovaled’ by the cutting process, typically it will flex back to round if its out of shape. These can be a little shorter than 4″.

As the description says, it doesn’t quite fit in MagLites, but does fit perfect in SDTA Ti tubes. The SDTA Ti tube has about a 0.4mm wider ID.

Yes, For years its been out there (and in the FAQ) that if you want to use these plugs in a Maglite tube, you have to reduce the Outside Diameter (OD) of the plug… or pound them in like a cave man.
