Description
This cam pin is frequently used in Remington VersaMax shotguns to replace the softer Remington version.
If you are troubleshooting a VersaMax, Instead of just replacing the cam pin, we suggest that you consider purchasing our “Remelli” Parts Kit. The Remelli kit also has parts that improve the VersaMax’s troublesome hammer assembly (a replacement hammer, hammer spring, & hammer plunger).  But if you (or a reputable gunsmith) tore your trigger pack down and are certain you don’t need the trigger parts too, we offer just this Cam Pin.
This M4 cam pin (also called a ‘locking bolt head pin’ will also work in multiple Benelli models & other clones (like the Stoeger M3000 series (M3000, M3500, M3020 etc).
This pin has a line mark in the head to help align it so that the firing pin can pass through. Remember to flip the orientation of the mark each time you clean, so that the cam pin wears more evenly.  This same pin is also compatible with multiple Benelli 12Ga shotguns (All the SBE’s, M2, M4, Montefeltro, etc)
If this item is out of stock, we recommend buying it on back-order. We ship these in the order received. Sometimes these may not be in-stock for quite a while as we are fulfilling all the back-orders. So if you need one, getting it on back-order is the most expeditious means.
I’ve personally seen two VersaMax’s with light primer strikes at the same time on the same waterfowl hunt, because they had bad hammers, springs, plungers, and cam pins.  Both guns had over 500 shells through them… one was close to 1500 shells, the other about half that. The “Remelli Kit” plus a good cleaning and lubing/replacing of the action spring was the fix.  Soon after fixing them and cleaning/lubing the recoil spring, the failure’s to fire came back (because the recoil springs were used up).
Remember a little light grease (when its hot out) or a lot of high quality oil (for hunting situations) is required on the cam pin to prevent galling & deformation (even on the higher quality Benelli pin we sell here).  And on top of cleaning and lubing the trigger pack, you should remove, clean, and lightly lube the action spring very often to prevent it from gumming up in the cold.
