Some firing pins slipped through that had the wrong threaded profile, and mixed in with our 209 kits. Just a handful of these pins made it out.
We are asking customers to inspect the firing pins they received in their kit. Please ensure the end that is threaded has the threads removed from the first 100 thousandths of an inch (1/10th of an inch). See pic below:

If the threads run all the way to the end, the firing pin will not fully set into the cocking piece. This can cause the firing pin to knock the nose off.
If you have already installed your firing pin and it is not contacting the bolt nose nor knocking the bolt nose off, then your firing is OK.
If you have one of the bad pins: contact us. We’ll work out replacing the pin.
If you are able to do machine work, you may also choose to remove the last .100 inch (1/10th of an inch of threads) by turning it down to .200Inch diameter (+- .005 on these specs). Put a light 45 degree chamfer on the end of the pin.
If you contact us we’ll make it right!

Note: This only is a concern for those who purchased kits. All bolts shipped to us for installation received the proper firing pin.
