Out of Stock ( overdue… not sure when these will come in… hopefully soon! ~Jan2024?  we will accept back orders… if you make a back order, expect your entire order to be held until these arrive in stock)

We had brand new 17-4 stainless primer carriers made for the super rare Savage 10 ML rifle!

We were blessed to have customers send in parts for their old, rare Savage 10ML rifles.   (NOT THE 10ML2… these are for the extremely rare original Savage 10ML rifles).   We’ve painstakingly cloned and improved the parts we received.  Made on state-of-the-art CNC machines in the USA!   17-4PH stainless steel for strength and longevity!

These primer carriers (aka modules) will work just fine with your rifle, but have a few improvements.   They still take 209 primers, but have slightly thicker rims and just a few other changes (like being a tad longer) that should improve the seal of the primer to the module.

PLEASE READ AND UNDERSTAND THIS WHEN PURCHASING THESE MODULES:

Rifles have small variations in head space.   It seems that Savage produced modules that were a tad shorter than ours, and had more variation in their Over All Length (OAL).   This can cause the original modules not to seal as well as our modules.   When a module doesn’t seal well it will coat the upper portion of the breech plug in crud/carbon when discharged.   Eventually crud build up seals the original modules, but if you clean the breech plug it may leak a little.  That’s just poor quality and we aren’t going to follow suit there.

So, when you switch to one of our new modules, they may fit tighter, and that crud that build up can keep the bolt from closing on the new module.   The fix is to remove the breech plug and scrub it clean.    Again, MAKE SURE ALL THE CRUD & CARBON BUILT UP INSIDE THE BREECH PLUG HAS BEEN SCRUBBED CLEAN! Then our module should seat well and seal… preventing (or at least reducing) the crud that builds where the module interfaces with the breech plug.

In some instances, even after cleaning the breech plug of all carbon/fouling, our module is still a bit too long for that particular rifle.   In those cases, remove the primer from the module, and then use a stone (like for sharpening a knife) and polish/remove a few thousandths off the flat face the primer pocket was machined into.  Then try to close the bolt on the empty module (no primer).   Repeat until you can close the bolt with just the slightest hair of resistance.  In effect, your rifle has a little less head space than most, and you are custom fitting the primer carrier to your rifle for a near perfect seal.

Following this procedure, you should end up with a much better seal than the original modules afforded.

ALSO IF YOU HAVE THIS MUZZLELOADER WE HAVE A VENT LINER SOLUTION FOR YOU:  RETROFIT A 10ML2 VENT LINER INTO THE ORIGINAL 10ML BREECH PLUG!
