Description

To get a complete easy drive system for a Savage muzzle loader you will need to purchase a “complete EZ tool set up” or put one of each individual item into your cart.

MADE IN THE USA!   HEAT TREATED TO LAST!  Our wrench and “EZ driver” (5/16 hex to 3/8 square adapter) are made of 4140 steel, heat treated and black oxide coated.  I’ve tested these on my Savage 10ML2 rifle.  They work great on the original 10ML2 slotted breech plug.   They will work on the original 10ML as well.

NOTE: THE BREECH PLUG WRENCHES ARE NOT FOR THE HEX DRIVEN BREECH PLUGS.  THEY ARE FOR THE SLOTTED DRIVE BREECH PLUGS

YES: WE WILL SHIP THESE TOOLS TO CANADA (for a fee per our Terms of Use)

The breech plug wrench alone will work fine with the bolt removed and a standard 3/8 square drive extension:

Savage 10ML breech plug wrench installing breech plug

Use a standard 3/8 drive socket wrench with extension and the Badger Ridge BP wrench to remove and install a original Savage 10ML2 Breech Plug. (Rifle and breech plug are show to illustrate the tool in use and are not for sale)

However,  for those who want the ultimate in EZ:  combining our breech plug wrench with the EZ driver, and a 8mm or 5/16 ratcheting box end wrench: one can remove or install the breech plug without removing the bolt.    Simply: buy our “complete EZ tool setup.”

Assemble the breech plug wrench & EZ driver, then use an 8mm or 5/16 box end wrench to torque the wrench while keeping forward pressure on the EZ tool with the bolt.  I prefer using the ratcheting style box ends we sell above.  The EZ system works on rifles with scopes installed (but with a scope you really want a ratcheting box end)!    See pics below.

8mm and 5/16″ are essentially the same: either will work with our EZ driver adapter!
