Need a high quality firing pin (return) spring for your Benelli Super Black Eagle 3, Ethos, or in a pinch a Remington VersaMax
These a made by Benelli and imported. For Benelli Vinci, Super Vinci, Ethos, & SBE 3 (also interchangeable with Remington VersaMax firing pin return spring F407582 but probably won’t last as long in a VersaMax due to their different recoil cycles)
Yes: the VersaMax original spring looks different (and for good reason). This firing pin return spring is functionally the same, but will probably wear out faster. The trade off makes sense if your return VersaMax’s return spring is already worn out. You make the call.
On the VersaMax: Do not use heavy oils or grease inside the firing pin channel. It will trap carbon, turn into a sticky paste, and could cause light primer strikes. Flush the channel clean and use a completely dry lubricant (like WD-40 dry PTFE lube), or leave it bone dry.
Do You need a SBE3 Firing pin (they work in the VersaMax too) ?

The firing pin spring installs over the firing pin applying tension on the pin keeping the portion that strikes the primer inside the bolt until the hammer is released. Also on the VersaMax helps keep the bolt properly protruding and the cam pin functioning as intended in the slot milled into the bolt carrier. As a common wear item that gets part of a cycle with every bolt move and trigger pull, this part is perfect to keep as a spare in your field kit or on your workbench.
Note: It is recommended that all firearm parts be installed by a qualified and trained Gunsmith.
