LR-308 10 to 5 Round Magazine Plug

Description

Have a 10 round LR-308 magazine and need it to only accept 5 rounds to comply with local laws/hunting rules?  We offer these for you!

Made to limit a 10 round LR-308 (GII, SR-25 Magazines) with ASC followers to only accept 5 rounds.

To use:

1.  Unload the Magazine
2. Remove the floor plate (slide a punch or small screw driver into the hold in the floor plate, pry upwards a little while pusing the plate to the rear).
3. Ensure the magazine spring and follower are fully in the magazine body, then orient and add our 10 to 5 round magazine plug inside the coils of the spring.
4. Slide the floor plate back on (when properly installed the spring pinches the magazine plug to the floor plate so that the plug will not rattle).

Note:  The magazine plug has tabs that ride between the ridges of the magazine body and has arrows pointing forward.   Also: the magazine spring has a loop at the top that pushes the follower upwards, if the spring is errantly flipped so that cross loop is oriented down (towards the floor plate), the magazine plug will not fit inside the spring’s loops.

It is not reccomended to use this as a 5+1 setup:  the tension on the bottom of the bolt will be high.   Best to load five rounds,  insert into an open action, then close the bolt.  Or if inserting under a closed bolt, only load 4 rounds.
